The secret to flawless under-eyes
There’s so many concealers on the market and it can get very complicated. “Which one is best for me?” Is a common question. There are 2 ways to go about this: trial and error or read below!
1. Use eye cream first! Whether you have dry or oily undereyes, your concealer will look cakey. An eye cream will give you the perfect slip for your concealer to blend evenly without dragging your eye.
2. Liquid concealer. Cream concealers are great and moist and blend beautifully but it can crease throughout the day because cream concealers never really “set” - liquid does.
3. Forget all the nonsense about going 2 shades lighter or using yellow shades to brighten - leave that to the professionals. Use a peach based concealer and a shade that’s closest to your skin tone (maybe one tone lighter). This way, you’re canceling out any darkness while giving your undereyes a natural finish to blend in with the rest of your face.
4. Set your concealer with a translucent powder. The only way you can get away with not doing this if your under eyes are super dry. Otherwise, use a translucent powder and lighter dust over your concealer. If you’re oily, use a sponge and start “baking”
